David Kocher is a professional golfer based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. He turned professional after his graduation from the University of Maryland in May of 2018.

David a professional golfer on the Korn Ferry Tour and a two-time winner. David excelled at the University of Maryland before turning pro in 2018. He was named All-Big Ten multiple times and became the first Maryland golfer to compete in the NCAA National Championships all four years.


His first win on the Korn Ferry Tour came in 2020 at the El Bosque Mexico Championship. Before competing on the Korn Ferry Tour, David also won on the PGA TOUR China series in 2019.

Accomplished Golfer — throughout his college career, David won many tournaments and accolades. He is now bringing his winning ways to his pro career. 

In 2022, David recorded his second Korn Ferry Tour victory with a win at the Price Cutter Championship. He recorded scores of 63, 66, 65, 66 to set the tournament scoring record. He continued to have a solid season and finished 35th on the Points List and earned full Korn Ferry Tour membership for 2023.

David currently lives in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys the Panthers and Hornets games, where he is a season ticket holder. In his free time, David helps coach his high school golf team and is an active member of his church.

  • 2022: Won the Price Cutter Charity Championship
  • 2020-2021: Won the El Bosque Mexico Championship
  • 2020-2021: T4 at the LECOM Suncoast Classic
  • 2020: Competed in the Korn Ferry Tour. Earned his first Korn Ferry Tour title at the El Bosque Mexico Championship.
  • 2019: Competed in the PGA Tour China Series. Won the 2019 Haikou Championship which earned him full PGA Tour China Series membership. 
  • 2018: Turned professional after becoming the first Maryland golfer to receive four consecutive individual NCAA invitations
  • Amateur Golf: Won The North Carolina Open in 2016 and 2017
